Stuff the Closet was a success for Dress for Success Charleston County!

Despite the dreary weather, the Stuff the Closet went over without a hitch! It's so encouraging to be so well received in the area. We had women dropping clothing by, men dropping clothing by for the women in their lives, and people who just stopped by to show support through monetary donations. The support from Live 5 News, Rehava and Charleston Magazine has been incredible.

We started the day at 8am, getting set up and ready for the day. By 11am, things were buzzing and Tracey Amick arrived from Live 5 to prepare for the noon news broadcast. The event was mentioned all day on Live 5, with live spots from the location during the noon, 4pm and 6pm broadcasts. We know that folks were watching and moved to action because several people mentioned just seeing it that day and decided to come down! All in all, we collected over 2 extra large bins of clothing, which helps us reach our goal of empowering women in the Lowcountry!

Special thanks to Naomi at Charleston Magazine, Tracey, Courtney and Amanda at Live 5, Emily at Rehava, Ellen at Berlin's and all our volunteers for helping to make this event such a success! We're looking forward to next time!
