Charleston Fashion Week
If you haven't already, check out the Charleston Magazine Charleston Fashion Week website. This is the third year for this innovative event and the weekend is just getting started! Look for Dress for Success as we'll be out and about in the tents at Marion Square as the charity of choice for this stylish event.
Stuff the Closet was a success for Dress for Success Charleston County!

Despite the dreary weather, the Stuff the Closet went over without a hitch! It's so encouraging to be so well received in the area. We had women dropping clothing by, men dropping clothing by for the women in their lives, and people who just stopped by to show support through monetary donations. The support from Live 5 News, Rehava and Charleston Magazine has been incredible.
We started the day at 8am, getting set up and ready for the day. By 11am, things were buzzing and Tracey Amick arrived from Live 5 to prepare for the noon news broadcast. The event was mentioned all day on Live 5, with live spots from the location during the noon, 4pm and 6pm broadcasts. We know that folks were watching and moved to action because several people mentioned just seeing it that day and decided to come down! All in all, we collected over 2 extra large bins of clothing, which helps us reach our goal of empowering women in the Lowcountry!
Special thanks to Naomi at Charleston Magazine, Tracey, Courtney and Amanda at Live 5, Emily at Rehava, Ellen at Berlin's and all our volunteers for helping to make this event such a success! We're looking forward to next time!

DFSCC is Blogging!
There are so many exciting things happening at DFSCC! We're gearing up for Charleston Fashion Week and looking forward to meeting many of you at CFW events!
Don't forget about our special CFW Suit Drive, Stuff the Closet! Live 5 and Charleston Magazine have teamed up to help women in the Lowcountry by supporting Dress for Success Charleston County during Charleston Fashion Week! On March 25th we will be in Marion Square during Charleston Fashion Week. Stop by and donate your gently used professional business attire and accessories. What would you wear to a job interview? That is exactly the type of clothing we are looking for to distribute to our clients. Your fabulous suits and other professional apparel could furnish another woman with the confidence to enter or return to the workplace, make a great first impression and land a job that could change her life. We are particularly in need of larger-size suits and apparel.
Spring is such a time of renewal and refreshment! Is it time to renew and refresh your wardrobe? If you can't make the Fashion Week event, we'd love for you to organize a Suit Drive! It's super easy and can be as big as you want it to be!
Stay tuned as we'll have all the great details from Charleston Fashion Week. Pictures too! We can't wait!
